Miele production sites
In its centre of competence for commercial laundry care, Miele develops and manufactures washing machines and tumble dryers with 9 to 32 kg load capacity. In addition, flatwork ironers, payment systems (for coin-operated launderettes), domestic ironing systems and components for other Miele factories are produced here. The Lehrte plant, purchased in 1965 from the Gillette company, employs a workforce of approx. 350. It is known for producing highly complex machines in small numbers and for customised solutions with a high degree of vertical integration and short delivery deadlines.
